Last month we had an exciting announcement: we have released our new browser-based PDF Form viewing solution, FormVu.

FormVu logoWhat is FormVu?

FormVu is a solution that puts PDF forms back into the browser where they belong. It is still possible to view PDF forms in the browser, and with FormVu you can build a much slicker, better integrated solution than before.

FormVu provides everything required to display your forms inside the browser within a highly customisable Viewer which can be customised and programmatically controlled from JavaScript. It can even save back changes into the PDF form file.

FormVu supports both XFA and FDF form filetypes, converting both into standalone HTML5. In XFA, FormCalc and JavaScript are supported. FormVu converts files into standalone content which can run in a browser. Once converted, there is no server dependency or round-tripping.

We have put lots of time and effort into making FormVu the best browser based PDF Form viewer available and we will be continuing with our busy development schedule in 2018.

What problem does FormVu solve?

FormVu is designed for enterprises companies with online platforms that handle PDF forms. No longer do your customers need to struggle with opening PDF forms inside third-party applications that have poor support for form features. Instead, your customers can view and fill the PDF form inside the browser itself where you control the experience. Current users of FormVu include insurance agencies, financial & banking solutions providers, legal case management solution providers, and more.

How can I use FormVu?

You can download the one-month free trial jar of FormVu from here. The application can either be run from the command line (instructions in our documentation here) or directly from Java code (instructions here).

What happens if I was a JPDFForms customer?

All of our JPDFForms customers have been grandfathered onto the FormVu product. You still have access to the converter and all the advantages of the fully featured viewer.

How can I find out more?
